What are they now! One on One Cast

The sitcom show One on One is a show about a sportscaster must take on the responsibility of being a full-time dad when his teenage daughter moves in with him. And the show also goes on to when Breanna goes to college and try to find her on way with her boo Arnaz. Where is the cast now and what are they up too.


Kyla Pratt- Breanna Barnes

Appeared in various WNBA commercials (one entitled “Diner”) in which she is the lead of three girls and gives a lecture to various WNBA stars (like Cynthia Cooper). The commercials created such a buzz that she (and the other girls) appeared on Rosie O’Donnell.

Attends the prestigious Hamilton Academy of Music, in Los Angeles, California along with such actors as Emile Hirsch, Will Rothhaar, Candas Lifson, Shia LaBeouf, Katie Doubleday, Zoma Crum and Cherish Lee.

Has done promotional commercials for Disney Channel movies.

She is the oldest out of five children.

In 1999, Kyla Pratt has won a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award for “Favorite Rising Star.”

Robert Ri’chard- Arnaz Ballard

Ri’chard was born Robert Andrew Richard in Los Angeles, California. He is of Louisiana Creole (French, African American, Native American) and Spanish descent.

He has starred in the UPN hit sitcom One on One which was the most significant of his television roles as Arnaz Ballard, and in the Nickelodeon sitcom Cousin Skeeter. He also made a few appearances as himself on the hit Nickelodeon game show, Figure It Out. Also, he has appeared in films such as Coach Carter and House of Wax. His breakout role was in the TV adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel, The Feast of All Saints, where he played the young Marcel who becomes a man within society. He has been professionally acting since the age of 13. He appeared in the movie Light It Up along with R&B star Usher. He attended Palms Middle School in Los Angeles, California.

Ri’chard has guest starred on many hit shows such as Boston PublicTouched By An AngelCSI: MiamiMy Wife and Kids, and The Jamie Foxx Show. In 2000 he starred in the Disney Channel TV movie Alley Cats Strike. Ri’chard has appeared in the 2006 season of Veronica Mars. In 1997, Ri’chard starred in the television special, In His Father’s Shoes, which earned him the 1998 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Children’s Special.

Ri’chard was set to star in a new series entitled “Eight Days a Week”, starring Christina Milian and Mario Lopez on the CW Television Network during the Fall 2007 season, but it was canceled due to the Writer’s Strike before airing.He currently has a growing role on the hit show Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns. He also have some up and coming movies coming out this 2011 “Bolden!” & “Kungfused” watch Meet the Browns On Demand on Vue TV.

Flex Alexander- Mark “Flex” Washington

Alexander’s first television role was on the short-lived 1993 ABC sitcom Where I Live, starring Doug E. Doug. Despite being critically acclaimed, the series was canceled that same year. Alexander then guest starred on episodes of Sister, Sister and The Cosby Mysteries before moving to Los Angeles in 1995 to concentrate on acting. In 1996, he landed a starring role on another short-lived sitcom Homeboys in Outer Space. The series was critically panned and canceled the following year. Later that year, Alexander co-starred in yet another short-lived series, the Steven Bochco-created Total Security. Following Total Security’s run, Alexander guest starred on Brooklyn South and The Parkers, and also had roles in several films including the 1998 direct-to-video release Backroom Bodega Boyz and She’s All That (1999).

From 2000 to 2001, Alexander appeared as Maya Wilkes’ husband Darnell during the first season of the UPN sitcom Girlfriends. He left Girlfriends to star as single father Flexter “Flex” Washington on the UPN sitcom One on One, a series he created and produced.For his role on the series, Alexander was nominated for three NAACP Image Awards and two BET Comedy Awards. In 2004, he portrayed Michael Jacksonin the VH1 television biopic Man In The Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story, which garnered him another NAACP Image Award nomination. Alexander returned to One on One for two more seasons, however, during the last season, his character was phased out when the show was retooled.

Following the end of One on One, Alexander had roles in the 2006 film Snakes on a Plane, opposite Samuel L. Jackson, and the 2007 horror film The Hills Have Eyes 2. He also had a role in Clement Virgo’s Poor Boy’s Game, with Danny Glover. Alexander’s most recent role was in a 2007 episode CSI: Miami.

Alexander will star in an upcoming 2011 sitcom, It Takes Two, as the star Kylie’s godfather. The pilot will be filmed soon.

Kelly Perine- Duane Odell Knox

Kelly Perine (born March 23, 1969) is an American television actor. Perine attended Lake Forest Academy near Chicago, Illinois, where he studied stage acting. He spent his undergraduate years at Pomona College in Claremont, California. After graduating, he studied at the University of California, Irvine where he continued his studies in Fine Arts. His career has ben stretched for over 30 years and started when he was 9 years old.

Perine began his career performing as a stand-up comedian at various comedy clubs in the United States. He has appeared in many television commercials, and has had bit parts in numerous sitcoms, including 21 Jump StreetSeinfeldThe Drew Carey ShowCoachMad About YouLiving SingleHangin’ with Mr. CooperMalcolm & EddieThe Steve Harvey ShowThe HughleysHow I Met Your MotherTrue Jackson, VP and The Bernie Mac Show. Perine had regular roles in the sitcoms Between Brothers where he played Dustin “Dusty” Q. Canyon, The Parent ‘Hood where he played Kelly Peterson, and One on One which he portrayed Duane Odell Knox, and has made appearances in numerous independent films. He starred in the MyNetworkTV comedy Under One Roof where he plays Winston Hill. In 2001, Perine appeared in theMotel 6 commercial. He will be in these movies this year “Naked Angel” & “Convincing Clooney”.

Sicily Sewell-Spirit Jones

Sicily Sewell (born October 1, 1985) is an American actress. She is sometimes credited in film or television as simply with a mononym Sicily.

She made her television appearance on an Emmy Award-winning episode of Sesame Street when she was eight years old.

She played “Young Aisha” in a two part episode of Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers called “”Rangers Back In Time”” prior to the season 2 finale, as well as in the 10 part mini series Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers. She also appeared in archive footage (also as Young Aisha) in the season following MMAR, Power Rangers Zeo.

She starred as young Diana in the hit miniseries, Mama Flora’s Family in 1998, and as Angela Bassett’s niece in the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

For four seasons, Sewell portrayed Spirit Jones, the best friend of Breanna Barnes (played by Kyla Pratt) in the sitcom One on One. Citing a decision by UPN to move in a different direction for the fall 2005 season, Sicily was let go from One on One on June 20, 2005. This change came at a time when she was only nine episodes away from syndication.

Sewell also appeared in the Lifetime original movie Fighting the Odds: The Marilyn Gambrell Story alongside Ernie Hudson (Oz ), Edwin Hodge (Jack & Bobby) andJami Gertz (Jersey Girl) in August 2005. Sicily also did another  movie called “Super Sweet 16″ in 2007. She  welcomed her first child on November 17th in 2007 and also got married. She does not have any movies or TV shows upcoming but she is a good actress so hopefully soon she will come back to TV.
