Apple Orders 10 Million iPad Minis

Apple has ordered more than 10 million units of a smaller version of the iPad for the fourth quarter — about double the amount Amazon has ordered for the Kindle Fire — according to a report.

The Wall Street Journal cites unnamed Chinese suppliers for the report about the 7.85-inch tablets. Apple hasn’t confirmed the launch or existence of such a tablet, but the company is rumored to be planning an Oct. 17 launch event for the product, which has been called the “iPad Mini” by the press.

An order of 10 million illustrates tremendous confidence in demand for such a product. In its fiscal third quarter, which ended on June 30, Apple sold 17 million iPads vs. 11 million in the second quarter. It’s not clear what effect a smaller iPad would have on the larger units. The production of a smaller version is something of a surprise: Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs had previously pronounced 7-inch tablets dead on arrival.

Youtube Lean Back Get & Upgrade

Now you can watch your Youtube better Via Big Screen thanks to the new Leanback upgrade!

YouTube has quietly rolled out what looks like major update to its YouTube Leanback program, making it easier for users to watch and control videos on a big screen.

The new mode, accessible via YouTube.com/TV, allows users to more easily control the YouTube experience from a TV or large monitor.

You control the interface with your keyboard — using the arrow keys to navigate and certain letter keys to access various functions. For example, the “G” key acts as home and “S” acts as search.

My-Even though Google TV has an app for Youtube on it I tried it on Google TV works great-actually better than the actually app for it! It do have to take some getting use to but it was fun to see!

Should Nielsen ratings retire…

You know your favorite TV show that you love so much, that English: The "peanut" remote for the...sometimes you miss because you had other things to do. So you TiVo it or DVR or maybe just caught it online on the website if they have it available. Well guess your favorite TV Show will not be back next season but you hear all the raves about the show and how good it is, so why is it getting cancelled really. Well thanks to Nielsen that’s what happen if you didn’t catch it on it premiere night then you watch it at all don’t count Should it count yes I think so no matter what day, what time or platform you choose to watch it. Nielsen has a lot of reinventing it needs to do or ship out and let the real tech heads do there magic. We are to advance in this day and age for these cool shows to be cancelled due to Nielsen out of date data. We should be able to watch it live on TV, online or any platform that host the TV Show and it get counted as watched. So that’s why a lot of major media Like Viacom has not moved to the internet or have not let Google TV get HULU which would be a big hit for Google TV. Are they being selfish, greedy or just plain dumb of wanting to keep things only on cable. If they don’t get with the times they will find there selves disappearing real fast thanks to out of date sources.

The New Generation of TV Online Introducing Futubox……

While I got a chance to enjoy this service, I just have to say it’s cool to know I can access live streaming TV on my laptop and Ipad. The streams or incredibly beautiful, no skips although you do need a higher internet bandwidth. My review on this is gonna be quick and straight to the point and with no hidden agendas. With that said I will talk about the good and the bad of this service. First the bad get that out the way. The bad thing about this service is it does have outages sometimes, I know that can be very frustrating and also they need quick and faster response time. With internet TV it will freeze up often but from time to time but truly expected, they just need to let you adjust your bandwidth, like Google TV does on the Youtube App. Now with that said the good is that this service is highly cool to view, great interface, almost all of your favorite channels at your reach, you can be at home on your laptop and Ipad and watch live streaming TV, you can even watch it on your TV at home.  I have yet to see if it works with Google TV yet which will be a great service for it by the way, they might want to look into that. Now with this service yes there is an subscription fee on the Futubox you might want to check that out, and all it’s cool features and channel list to see if it fits you. The channel list is great sports, entertainment, news, movies and so on. Also available in French, Italian and English channels so giving you array of languages to look forward to. What I enjoyed the most was the HD channels yes buddy they where great to see, I almost felt like I was in a theater on my laptop (lol) but yes I did. HD channels are hard to come by even on your cable and satellite subscribers they should make it available just because, but unfortunately they don’t but Futubox does and that was amazing. So check the Futubox out, see what you have been missing and also they may even still have there trial available up for grabs. With the trial it might only last 1 to 3 days, it would be great if they can make it last longer, like Netflix up to a month so you can get a feel of the product. I am out and that’s my full review on The Futubox, tell me how you liked it on a comment below and if you have already had a chance to use it. See what the Futubox looks like pics below…..

Apple Store Refused to Sell iPad to Iranian-Americans

iPads are all the rage right now, “rage” being the operative word for two US citizens who were refused the trendy tablet because of their ethnicity. Sahar Sabet and fellow Farsi speaker Zack Jafarzadeh, both of Iranian descent, were unable to purchase an iPad from an Apple Store in suburban Atlanta reports local media.

“He didn’t have any business asking me what country I was from,” said Sabet of the Apple Store clerk who turned her down upon hearing her speak Persian. Jafarzadeh, who was likewise rebuffed, said he was “appalled.” Apple Store reps aren’t ducking the accusation. In fact they’re copping to it, citing US sanctions against Iran as company policy. But according to Sabet, Apple isn’t being very consistent about it: the company’s customer relations staff said she’s more than welcome to just go purchase the iPad online.

Why Apple’s iPhone Charger Is So Expensive…..

“Apple’s power adapter is clearly a high-quality power supply designed to produce carefully filtered power. Apple has obviously gone to extra effort to reduce EMI interference, probably to keep the charger from interfering with the touchscreen. When I opened the charger up, I expected to find a standard design, but I’ve compared the charger to the Samsung charger and several other high-quality industry designs, and Apple goes beyond these designs in several ways…

“Apple’s design provides extra safety in a few ways… the super-strong AC prongs, and the complex over-temperature / over-voltage shutdown circuit. Apple’s isolation distance between primary and secondary appears to go beyond the regulations…

“Apple’s iPhone charger crams a lot of technology into a small space. Apple went to extra effort to provide higher quality and safety than other name-brand chargers, but this quality comes at a high cost.”

Don’t Have Cable don’t worry….. see what’s in store for you

Latest photo of the TV stuff.
Image by William Hook via Flickr

Now a days cable is like totally expensive, so why not use your internet as your cable/ satelite provider. Now how do you do this well first: you must have a computer/laptop. Then you must have internet, WIFI/WIMAX/DSL or Broadband connection. The fun part if you have all that it takes to hook to your TV then you are on the money. This is a video showing you how to hook your PC to your TV (New TV’s have all the components then your older model TV’s)

Many video’s on youtube will show you how but never show you what you need to do this. Simple this is what you will need.

This is the important thing you need for doing the transition from PC to TV. You should not have to buy one if you have it hook to your monitor already use that one. Also if you have a mac you may have to buy one of these $7.99 @ amazon or you buy this one for $2.99 @ amazon link here. 5ft Svga Vga Monitor M/m Male to Male Extension Cable 5

Now this is important meaning you do need sound right, well j ust know this is all you need nothing else for sound. Many claim you need a whole lot no not at all. These just cost $7.99 @ amazon here is the link DURAGADGET 3.5mm Audio Stereo Jack cable Aux plug for Motorola Droid you can use a stereo jack that simple and saves money.

Wireless Keyboard and Mouse is your choice but it’s a must for me, I don’t want to be dragging a cord anywhere. Logitech is perfect for that wireless device for this transition to PC to TV. The price varies because there are so many models so chose the right one for you here is a link to one from amazon Logitech Wireless Desktop MK 300

Now that’s all you need you will see the ports on the back of your TV and PC so you will know where to put them. Also if you prefer to use a HDMI cable or S-video then do so it’s simple to hook up just put them in the right ports. Make sure you have these ports, I have HDMI but I don’t use it and I also have S-video don’t use that either. I will eventually move to using HDMI soon….. also when you hooked up visit VUE TV free on demand and live tv visit it now if you want.

I also have a router hooked to my computer it’s great for my Wii because I have Netflix,  you can get one here if you don’t have one already Cisco-Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router.
