Elle Varner // Stuff Fly People Like (SFPL) Magazine! (Premiere Issue)

“I couldn’t believe it. I thought at first it was just a rumor, but then I watched and it was definitely real,”
says Varner in response to the shock of the news.

“I was shocked but also proud that the White House approves my music for their precious daughters to
listen to. I made an album that simply told my story, and that it could be appreciated by both a 14-year-
old and her mother [is amazing].”

Catering to multiple audiences is a trait that Elle Varner is well on her way to mastering, but she may
also be the missing link to reviving an entire genre. Rhythm and Blues have definitely evolved over the
years, but with the popularity of rap, some feel that it has taken a back seat. Elle acknowledges the
missing element and plans to take the world by storm in the process of getting the genre back to its
roots.

“I think Rhythm and Blues is missing the “Blues” and that emotional hits-you-in-your-chest feeling that it
was built on. The rhythms are there but the quality and content just aren’t what they used to be. Luckily,
there are a lot of artists right now not only making great R&B, but getting some mainstream shine as
well. I plan to take my music to a worldwide level so R&B isn’t the one trying to squeeze into the picture,
but actually standing proud in the center of the photo.”

Kanye West Still wants to apologize to Taylor Swift…. Read on

It’s been almost a year since Kanye West famously stole the spotlight, and mic, from Taylor Swift as she accepted her MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video. And, the rap star is apparently still trying to make amends. He tweeted a stream of messages about her this morning, and divulged that he’s written a “beautiful” song for her!

He posted (via Us magazine): “I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her. She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her.”

And, the tweets didn’t end there. Apparently this issue is still keeping him up at night — and early morning! He continued: “She’s just a lil girl with dreams like the rest of us. She deserves the apology more than anyone. I’m ready to get out of my own way. The ego is overdone.”

“Who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you down…TAYLOR LOVES RAP MUSIC…I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC…I’m sorry Taylor.”

2010 Nickelodeon Mega Music Fest: Orange Carpet has all the stars including Justin Bieber (Video)

September 6, 2010 — The 2010 Nickelodeon Mega Music Festival had the annual red carpet — umm, actually it was called orange carpet for the evening to honor all the stars who showed up tonight. This special musical event was held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York and had many celebrities who walked the carpet. Justin Bieber, Colbie Caillat, Wyclef Jean, Rico Rodriguez, Wendy Williams, John Leguizamo, Sherri Shepherd, and The Fresh Beat Band were a few of the faces seen on the orange carpet.

However this wasn’t a typical photo call event. In fact it was something much more special. All the guests had a chance to chat with the media and they shared something about themselves that was interesting to the fans who always want to know more.
