Teaching my parents about technology is a lot of work and it’s tough for me to look at them and understand how far behind they are when it comes to working with computers. I got them cannon satellitea few months back and that’s what they’ve been using to watch TV and I have to say it’s a big step up for them both quality wise and technology wise from their rabbit ears! There’s nothing wrong with being a little behind the times but when I got my mom a flip phonefor Christmas last year and she took it back, that was a little ridiculous. I sure wish they’d go take an education class or something like that so they wouldn’t be so removed from the world. My job is online so I’m really into technology, to say the least, so it’s just really hard for me to get why they want to live this way but hey, I suppose it’s to each their own or whatever they say!

A British teacher working in the Middle East was found dead after her ex-boyfriend posted naked pictures of her on Facebook, an inquest heard today.
Emma Jones, 24, who was working in an international school in Abu Dhabi, feared she could be jailed in the Muslim country over the photos.
The inquest heard she drank poisonous cleaning fluid as she was packing to leave to return to Britain.
Miss Jones’s mother Louise Rowlands told the hearing her daughter was distressed after Jamie Brayley posted the pictures on the internet.
Mrs Rowlands, 41, said: ‘He put a memory stick in the computer and copied some indecent images of Emma.
‘He put them on her Facebook and she said she was accused of prostitution by a man working at the school.’

John Freshwater would make the perfect middle school science instructor — if he was teaching at the Mean Jesus Apocalyptic Church of the Damned. But he works for a middle school in Mount Vernon, Ohio, which apparently doesn’t appreciation his brand of Christianity…
The science teacher doesn’t believe in evolution, for example. And he doesn’t really believe in science if it runs contrary to scripture. He teaches his kids that science is bogus due to research that hints there may be a gene that produces homosexuality.
“Science is wrong,” Freshwater told his students, “because the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin, and so anyone who is gay chooses to be gay and is therefore a sinner.”
He also teaches creationism, and has handed out surveys asking students how important religion is to them.
But his biggest sin — at least in the eyes of parents — is burning crosses into the kids’ arms. He’s admitted to burning the kids, but claims it wasn’t a religious statement, just an experiment he’s conducted for 21 years. He also initially denied handing out religious surveys until he was presented copies of them.
But it seems the school district is having a hard time firing him. Ohio law entitles him to a hearing on his termination, and that’s been dragging on for 15 months. He’s been suspended without pay, but students are still showing up to school with T-shirts that read “I support Mr. Freshwater — God.”
The legal system hasn’t been so supportive. The district already coughed up $120,000 to the family of student Zachary Dennis after Freshwater burned his arm with a coil. (Interesting note: Zachary’s family got $5,000. His lawyers took home $115,000. Repent, thee followers of Satan!)
Freshwater’s elongated hearing is finally scheduled to end today. With any luck, the district will soon be rid of him for good. All that will be left is to wait for the lawsuits to roll in.
A kindergarten teacher in Connecticut has been arrested for allegedly forcing a 5-year-old boy to eat food the child had thrown in a garbage can.
A Bridgeport Magnet school teacher forced one of her 5-YEAR-OLD Students to eat his lunch after it had been thrown in the garbage can! Most of us know that once food has touched the garbage can – even if it’s in a ziplock bag – it is now classified as GARBAGE. There is no 5-second rule here. This teacher reached into the garbage and retrieved this poor boy’s chicken nuggets and banana, trying to force him to eat it all, saying she was concerned about he might starve if he didn’t eat this lunch. PLEASE!
Using his own common sense, he refused to eat the nuggets, but gave in to his teachers coercion and ate the banana she had peeled straight from the trash. This is not a lesson in wasting food! There are other ways to handle the situation – like alert the parents if he isn’t eating on a regular basis or skipped his lunch, ask if he’s not feeling well, etc. A teacher, or anyone, should not force feed a child in school, and from the garbage.
MY OPINION ON THIS STORY: This is just terriable we can not trust our babies to these no good teachers(NOTALL TEACHERS ARE BAD THERE ARE GOOD ONES). Now my son is a picky eater, I have told my son’s teacher this she know. She does send me notes in his journal saying Jay did not eat his lunch today, but he ate his snack. This is when we really need to look into who’s teaching our kids, some of these teachers have mental issues.Now I know she’s been teaching for years, that tells me she should have known what to do…..that’s why they have teachers work shops. Most people might take the teachers side, but most people feels what the mother feels anger. Until it’s your child you will say yeah she is a wonderful woman this was taken out of contexts….when it’s your child you will be like no she didn’t…Come on people this is a 5 year old and even if he was 10 this is not the right thing to do. She knew better..she wouldn’t eat from the trash (unpeeled or peeled banana)
