Mother drowns twins in retaliation for husband’s cheating

A vindictive mother who suspected her husband of cheating on her drowned their twins and attempted to suffocate their 4-year-old sister in their Tacony, Philadelphia home.

Stacey Smalls, 41, is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, Adam and Eve, by drowning one and smothering the other.

Smalls is believed to have committed the homicides in a jealous rage after discovering her husband had cheated on her.

The murders were committed on Thursday, before Ron Smalls returned home from work as a corrections officer.

Ron Smalls dialed 911 after discovering the bodies of his babies on a bed in the front room, and his wife still alive after she slashed her wrists in a suicide attempt.

One of the notes found near the babies bodies read: “This is why I killed your kids,” — along with detailed allegations about her husband’s affair.

“She had something she felt was justification but there is no justification,” Police Commissioner Charles Ramsay said. “It’s a tragedy two young babies dead and there is no excuse for that.”

In recent days, Ron updated his Facebook page with pictures of his daughters and the caption: “Sisters, what a beautiful thing.”

But on Wednesday, a day before she went berserk, Stacey wrote under the picture: “Really, sisters what a beautiful thing. I guess it depends on which sister,” a not-so-veiled reference to Ron’s mistress.

Stacey also updated Facebook with a random photo of a car that was vandalized with spray paint to read “I hope she was worth it.”

During happier, Dopamine-fueled times, Stacey updated her Facebook page with an announcement of marriage to Ron Smalls on Dec. 17, 2010.

But on May 19, once the Dopamine ran out, Stacey updated her status to read: ‘divorced.’

REPORTS:Friends described Jarmecca “Nikki” Whitehead as a “loving and open” mother whose rebellious teens increasingly challenged her on issues of dating, cell phone use and even about going to school.

The 16-year-old twins, Tasmiyah, “Tas,” and Jasmiyah, “Jas,” had at one time been “A” students, involved in Girl Scoutsand the performing arts at their Georgia high school. But 18 months ago, they reportedly became so violent and hard to handle that they temporarily moved in with their elderly great-grandmother.

Now they’re locked up, accused of murdering their mother, a beautician who had recently gone back to school to study fashion design.

Whitehead was found dead in her Conyers, Georgia, house in a pool of blood Jan. 14, brutally beaten and stabbed. Just one week before the murder the twins had returned home, but their mother had called police three times to rein in her out-of-control twins.

Now friends say they are not surprised.

“Do I think they were capable of doing it?” said Petrina Sims, owner of Decatur’s Simply Unique salon, where Whitehead worked until her death. “I was hoping not, but after all she had gone through, it was like you almost knew it was them.”

Apparently police thought so too, arresting the girls May 21 after connecting them to the brutal murder of their 34-year-old mother.

The girls face charges of malicious murder, felony murder and aggravated assault, which can carry a life sentence without parole. Prosecutors cannot ask for the death penalty because juveniles are barred from capital punishment in Georgia.

A 9 year old Brazilian girl, pregnant with twins is scheduled to have an abortion. According to the the news websites G1, pe360graus and the Diario de Pernambuco, the Brazilian girl, who was not identified because she is a minor, was found to be four months pregnant after being taken to hospital suffering stomach pains.

And who’s the father you ask? Well – police suspect that the it’s the 9 year old girl’s step father. Here’s more to the report from News Australia:

“We don’t know if she will develop the pregnancy up to the end because of the structure of her body. It is a big risk for her,” the doctor who confirmed her pregnancy before she was taken to the institute, Jose Severiano Cavalcanti, told the Diario de Pernambuco.

“She doesn’t have a pelvis able to support a gestation of twins,” he said.

Abortion is illegal in Brazil except in cases of rape or if the woman’s health is in danger.
