Junior Alexander Guy spent 19-years in prison for cocaine trafficking so needless to say after his release he decided to jump on the cell phone bandwagon, there was just one problem, the convicted felon was given the former cell phone number of alleged murderer George Zimmerman.
The death threats against Guy and his family became so severe that he moved himself and his mother out of their home to a new location. He says the move was necessary because, ”I was not only afraid for my life, I was afraid for my mother’s.”
According to Guy he had received upwards of 70 calls, some which included threats as late as 3AM.
The former prisoners lawyer is now handling the situation and Guy plans to seek damages against T-Mobile for their part is assigning the phone number.
T-Mobile says they will not pay any type of damages but they did give Guy a new phone number and credited his account while retiring Zimmerman’s former cell number. The cellular provider also offered to waive any early termination fee should he decided to move over to another cellular company.
Since your curiosity is likely peaked the phone number in question was 407-435-2400.
