Basketball Wives May Return With New Cast Mate Tasha Marbury

It is rumored that Latasha “Tasha” Marbury the wife of ex-NBA star Stephon Marbury is in talks to join season 5 of Basketball Wives. Tasha is friends with some of the wives already and VH1 needs to fill the spot of fired cast mates, Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams and Kesha Nichols. Currently Stephon plays in China for the Beijing Ducks. Tasha was also allegedly asked to join season 1 of VH1′s hit series, but Stephon said no, may be the call of the USA made him change his mind and notoriety that will follow and the mega bucks these women are paid. There is no word if Evelyn Lozada will be coming back as yet.

Evelyn Files for Divorce details

Evelyn Lozada is ending her 41-day-old marriage to Chad Johnson after the football star was arrested for allegedly head-butting her over the weekend.

A representative for the VH1 reality star confirmed reports that Lozada filed for divorce Tuesday.

63850151“Given the recent events that have taken place, Evelyn has decided to file for divorce and move on with her life,” Lozada’s lawyer, Michael B. Gilden, told the TV show “The Insider” in a statement.

Johnson released his own statement – the first since his arrest – on his official website, OCNN, and reaffirmed his love for Lozada.

“I am going to let the legal process run its course. I wish Evelyn nothing but the best, I have no negative words to say about her, the only thing I can say is I love her very much,” said Johnson, who was dumped by the Miami Dolphins a day after the arrest.

“I will continue to be positive and stay training hard for another opportunity in the NFL. I appreciate all my fans and supporters and if I have disappointed you in any way, you have my sincerest apologies. Once again I will continue to stay positive and appreciate all the support during this tough period in my life.”

The marriage imploded Saturday after an argument between the two ended with Lozada being treated at a hospital for lacerations to her head.

According to Davie, Fla., police, Lozada found a receipt for condoms and confronted Johnson about it at dinner. The argument continued during their drive home, and when they arrived at their driveway, he allegedly head-butted her.

In a 911 call released by authorities, a neighbor told police that there was an incident involving a “high-profile person” and is heard telling Lozada to wipe the blood from her head. Lozada is heard saying that Johnson head-butted her, and the caller says Lozada will probably need stitches.

However, Johnson told police she head-butted him.

Earlier Tuesday, Lozada said in a statement: “I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well.”

However, Lozada has been prone to violence: On the VH1 series “Basketball Wives,” where she gained her fame, she became infamous for attacks on other cast mates. In June, she apologized for her behavior and in a letter to her younger self posted on The Huffington Post, she blamed her penchant for fighting on violence in her own household growing up.

Johnson is a six-time Pro Bowler who last season was on the New England Patriots. His July 4 wedding to Lozada – whom he courted publicly on “Basketball Wives” – was taped for a spinoff show, “Ev & Ocho.” It was due to debut Sept. 3, but VH1 shelved it after Johnson’s weekend arrest.

Johnson – formerly known as Chad Ochocinco – and Lozada were prominently featured in the recent first episode of HBO’s “Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Miami Dolphins.”

Lozada was the former fiancee of former NBA player Antoine Walker and has been one of the main stars of “Basketball Wives,” which also features Shaunie O’Neal, the former wife of former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal.

In court papers filed Tuesday, Lozada says the two had a premarital agreement but asks Johnson pay for her attorney fees associated with the divorce.

Besides ending her marriage, Lozada also was mourning the loss of her brother-in-law, who walked her down the aisle and was to be a part of the “Ev & Ocho” show.

Basketball Wives Star Jennifer Williams Is Facing $90,000 Lawsuit And Repossession Of Her Bentley For Non-Payment Since 2009!

Seems like the money ain’t all that good in reality, and how and the hell they let you go without paying your notes, on a Bentley since 2009. Not believing that but here’s what the sources say about Jennifer’s situation:

Salt on the wound for fired “Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams — TMZ has learned her expensive Bentley is on the verge of being repossessed … by force of law.

The Toyota Motor Credit Corporation in Syosset, NY just filed a lawsuit against Williams, claiming she stopped making payments on her used 2006 white Bentley back in 2009 — and it wants the car back.

According to the lawsuit, TMCC has made several attempts to peacefully repossess the vehicle … but was unsuccessful. Now, it wants a court to FORCE Williams to give back the car.

TMCC is also demanding Williams pay the entire outstanding balance on the car — $92,310.

A rep for Williams tells TMZ, “Jennifer hasn’t been served documents in reference to this lawsuit. Anything related to community property acquired during the marriage, such as the car, is an issue that is currently being addressed in her divorce proceedings.”

TMZ broke the story … Williams filed for divorce from her husband Eric in July 2011.

They need to live beyond there means omg….seriously….

“Basketball Wives Cast member”: Gimme $20K an Episode or I’m Out!

Coming from TMZ “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada is giving show producers an ultimatum — either pay her $20,000 an episode … or she’s gone for good.

As we previously reported, Lozada has already threatened to leave the show

— after, we’re told. she became upset because she believe the producers of the show leaked sensitive information about her to another cast member in hopes of inciting a violent confrontation between the two women.

Sources close to the production tell TMZ, Lozada and the other girls currently pull in around $7,500 an episode — which means Lozada’s latest demand would mean a SERIOUS raise.

No word yet on the show’s next move.

Matt Barnes, former Sacramento Kings player and fiance to VH1’s “Basketball Wives” cast member Gloria Govan, was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Main Jail on Wednesday night on a felony domestic violence charge, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Tim Curran said deputies responded to an incomplete 911 call from the 8100 block of Sunset Avenue at about 4:15 p.m., where they encountered Barnes and a woman “who lived with him and with whom he had a dating relationship.”

After speaking to Barnes and the woman, deputies determined that the two had been in a physical confrontation and Barnes had prevented the woman from talking to 911 operators. Curran said dispatchers heard the sound of a struggle in the background on the brief open line before it was disconnected.

Both parties had visible injuries but Barnes was determined to be the primary aggressor, Curran said.

Barnes is also charged with maliciously obstructing the use of a telephone line, Curran said. He posted a $50,000 bond and was released shortly before 9:40 p.m.

He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

According to MTO, the two were arguing over whether Gloria and Matt’s relationship problems would be recorded for next season’s “Basketball Wives.” An insider explained,

“[Gloria] had been talking about their problems on camera, and Matt found out.”

We figured their relationship was on the rocks once they called off the wedding, but we didn’t think it had gotten to this point. Barnes’ neck does look a little red.
