7:09 p.m. PST — Tom Ford and Sarah Jessica Parker presented the award for Best Costume Design. The winner was The Young Victoria, with work completed by Sandy Powell.

7:05 p.m. PST — Sigourney Weaver presented the award for outstanding Art Direction. The winner was Avatar. The work was done by Kim Sinclair, Rick Carter, and Robert Stromberg.

7:04 p.m. PST — Colin Firth presented the fifth nominee for Best Picture: An Education.

6:57 p.m. PST — Robin Williams presented the award for Best Supporting Actress. The winner was Mo’Nique from her work in Precious.

6:54 p.m. PST — Queen Latifah talked about The Governor’s Awards that were hosted earlier, with the winners being Roger Corman (producer-director) , Gordon Willis (cinematographer), Lauren Bacall (actress), and John Calley (producer-executive).

6:49 p.m. PST — Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal presented the award for Best Adapted Screenplay. The award went to Geoffrey Fletcher for Precious.

6:45 p.m. PST — Jeff Bridges presented the fourth nominee for Best Picture: A Serious Man.

6:49 p.m. PST — Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal presented the award for Best Adapted Screenplay. The award went to Geoffrey Fletcher for Precious.

6:45 p.m. PST — Jeff Bridges presented the fourth nominee for Best Picture:

6:39 p.m. PST — Ben Stiller presented the award for Best Make Up, and did so dressed up as a character from Avatar. The winner for Best Make Up was Star Trek.

6:29 p.m. PST — Carey Mulligan and Zoe Saldanna presented the award for Best Short Film (Animated). The 2010 winner was Logorama by Nicolas Schmerkin.

They also presented the award for Best Short Film (Documentary). That award went to Music by Prudence by Roger Ross Williams and Elinor Burkett.

Finally, the award for Best Short Film (Live Action) was given out as well. That winner was The New Tenants by Joachim Back and Tivi Magnusson.

6:25 p.m. PST — Samuel L. Jackson presented the third nominee for Best Picture: Up.

6:17 p.m. PST — Molly Ringwald and Matthew Broderick came out to talk about writer/director John Hughes. There was then a nice movie-montage of all his best films. They also took a moment to bring out seven of the biggest stars from John Hughes films, including Anthony Michael Hall.

6:12 p.m. PST — Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey presented the award for Best Original Screenplay. The winner was Mark Boal for The Hurt Locker.

6:06 p.m. PST — Chris Pine presented from the second nominee for Best Picture: District 9.

6:01 p.m. PST — Amanda Seyfried and Miley Cyrus presented the award for Best Original Song in a feature film. The winner was the song The Weary Kind from Crazy Heart.

5:56 p.m. PST — Cameron Diaz and Steve Carell presented the award for Best Animated Feature Film, with the winner announced as Up.

5:50 p.m. PST — Ryan Reynolds presented clips from the first nominee for Best Picture: The Blind Side.

5:44 p.m. PST — Penelope Cruz presented the award for Best Supporting Actor. They gave full clips of the films these actors were a part of, adding more to the presentation itself. In a really star-studded category, the first winner of the night was Christoph Watlz from Inglourious Basterds.
