The star is currently writing True You, a self-help book with exercise and diet tips.

She recently admitted to struggling for years with her weight and body image.

‘I wanted to write this book because I wanted kids to have something to read and know that that they are beautiful as they are,’ she told Essence magazine this month.

Female rapper and celeb reality TV starĀ Da Brat, who is nearing the end of a three year prison sentence for smashing a bottle across a womanā€™s face back in October 2007, has been released from prison on aĀ work release program.

The 2007 incident started when Da Brat, whose real name is Shawntae Harris got into an argument with a waitress in an Atlanta-area club owned by record producer mogulĀ Jermaine Dupri. A shouting match between Da Brat and the waitress escalated into shoving and witnesses testified that the rapper then picked up a rum bottle and hit the worker across the face with it, leaving the woman with permanent facial scars.

Janet and Jermanie back together

2009-10-13_1828In a article recently there were rumors of Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri breaking up or broke up, well from sources they say that’s not the case the two never broke up they just took a break. Many say that Janet and Jermaine have been spotted out together and look like they are still much in love. After Janet’s brother Micheal’s passing there seem to be tension in the relationship but, they really took a break for reason about Janet’s record deal and contract issues. Sources say even through the tough times Janet has had Jermaine still was there for her and has all ways been. Talk about love that’s what it’s all about sacrifices and sticking it out and also hanging in there through the tough times.

Jermaine Dupri sets the record straight about exit from Def Jam

This interview gets deep, I like how Jermaine sets the record straight. Seriously this man has his head on his shoulder, and when I say no one can knock it off, that means no one. ThisĀ  is what Jemaine Dupri had to say:

The question:There’s hearsay that your brief tenure was plagued by meager sales and a lack of new talent which resulted in the label ousting you. Is that true?

jermaine-dupriJD:Island [Def Jam Records] is going to say what makes them look good. They are not going to tell the truth and say, “He just stopped dealing with us on a daily basis.” If you don’t put out my records, that’s all I have as a person. I’m a record person, so if I give you a record and you don’t put it out, then basically you’re showing me that it’s really no business. I never got a chance to put the records out. I had Johnta Austin, Ninth Ward and Dondria. I read the blogs and I’m thinking, How can they say that I’m not putting out records when anyone who knows my track record knows I’m about making music? My biggest problem is that I’m still the youngest president to have this kind of success. Music is my life. I’m a person who continues to carve out my own way. Instead of watching things happen, I make them happen. If L.A. [Reid] gets fired at Def Jam (he’s 20 years older than me) where is he going to go? Many of the people at the label; if their bosses were to fire them today, they don’t have anything else to do. Their lives are over. I’m not that dude. Life ain’t over for me.
