Today (June 16) would have marked the 41st birthday of the late Tupac Amaru Shakur. Since his untimely passing on September 13, 1996, following a drive-by shooting six days earlier in Las Vegas, the lionized figure’s legacy remains immortal.

Nate Dogg is dead, according to a report in his hometown Long Beach Press Telegram, which cited a family announcement.
Snoop Dogg confirmed the news with a series of tweets early Wednesday morning:
TMZ says they have confirmed the report but did not indicate how.
The West Coast legend, born Nathaniel D. Hale, was known for his distinctive deep singing voice, which was used on numerous hiphop hooks. He collaborated on hit songs with a number of artists including Warren G, 50 Cent and Eminem.
Hale had suffered two strokes in recent years. On Sunday, Warren G tweeted:

Snoop Dogg says his daughter Cori is winning her battle with the chronic disease lupus since she was diagnosed with it about five years ago and that it brought his family closer together.
“She’s the toughest little thing I’ve ever met,” Snoop Dogg toldPeople magazine. “She’s on the honor roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning lupus was winning. But now Cori is.”
