Mother drowns twins in retaliation for husband’s cheating

A vindictive mother who suspected her husband of cheating on her drowned their twins and attempted to suffocate their 4-year-old sister in their Tacony, Philadelphia home.

Stacey Smalls, 41, is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, Adam and Eve, by drowning one and smothering the other.

Smalls is believed to have committed the homicides in a jealous rage after discovering her husband had cheated on her.

The murders were committed on Thursday, before Ron Smalls returned home from work as a corrections officer.

Ron Smalls dialed 911 after discovering the bodies of his babies on a bed in the front room, and his wife still alive after she slashed her wrists in a suicide attempt.

One of the notes found near the babies bodies read: “This is why I killed your kids,” — along with detailed allegations about her husband’s affair.

“She had something she felt was justification but there is no justification,” Police Commissioner Charles Ramsay said. “It’s a tragedy two young babies dead and there is no excuse for that.”

In recent days, Ron updated his Facebook page with pictures of his daughters and the caption: “Sisters, what a beautiful thing.”

But on Wednesday, a day before she went berserk, Stacey wrote under the picture: “Really, sisters what a beautiful thing. I guess it depends on which sister,” a not-so-veiled reference to Ron’s mistress.

Stacey also updated Facebook with a random photo of a car that was vandalized with spray paint to read “I hope she was worth it.”

During happier, Dopamine-fueled times, Stacey updated her Facebook page with an announcement of marriage to Ron Smalls on Dec. 17, 2010.

But on May 19, once the Dopamine ran out, Stacey updated her status to read: ‘divorced.’

Gregory Collins Kills Coworker Anthony Lamont Hill, Drags Body 10 Miles Behind Truck….. could this be a hate crime

Gregory Collins, 19, and Anthony Hill, 30, were coworkers at the Louis Rich plant in Newberry, South Carolina. It seems they’d spent most of Tuesday together. But by the wee hours of yesterday morning, something had gone very wrong…

Police still don’t know why, but Collins decided to shoot Anthony in the head at his trailer home in Pomaria. Anthony appears to have died instantly.

Collins carried the body outside, used a rope to tie it to his truck, then went for a drive. The body wasn’t freed until the rope broke nearly 11 miles later. A passing motorist discovered Anthony’s body at 4:30 a.m.

Since he’s a trailer park goober, Collins apparently never considered that all that blood would leave a trail for police straight back to his home. They banged on Collins’ door, but he refused to come out. Since he was considered armed and degenerate, a three-hour standoff ensued. Police finally smoked him from the trailer using tear gas.

Detectives found a selection of high-powered rifles in the house, but they still don’t know the reason for the murder. According to Anthony’s landlord, he was as likable as they come. “He’s been very responsible, very polite, very responsive, when he comes to pay he was always on time,” Kay Porter told WIS-TV.

Local police have called in the feds to investigate whether it was a hate crime, but we’re guessing that won’t come to anything — at least from the information we have now. The two men apparently knew each other for months, worked together and seemed to be friends.

Unless they can prove Collins was plotting to kill Anthony all this time solely for his race, it seems this is nothing more than a goober gone wild — with Anthony paying the consequences.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – A porn actor suspected of killing a colleague with a sword has died after jumping from a rocky hillside after a standoff with police.

Police Officer Bruce Borihanh says a “less than lethal munition” was used against Stephen Clancy Hill Saturday just before his jump.

SWAT officers spent part of the afternoon trying to talk Hill down from the hill as he clutched a sword. Borihanh says the 34-year-old actor fell some 40 feet.

NEW YORK — Gigi Jordan quit a high-powered job as a pharmaceutical company executive and abandoned her social life to devote all her time to her severely autistic son.

For most of his tortured life, Jude Michael Mirra repeatedly banged his head on the floor, screaming and unable to speak, writhing in pain. His mother, trained as a nurse, went to exhaustive lengths to help the 8-year-old, desperate for a cure.

But nothing worked. Her only child is dead now — by her own hands, according to police.

After years of struggling — with his autism and her inability to help him — Gigi Jordan gave up. To those who knew her, she was a loving, overprotective single mother who snapped under incredible strain. To prosecutors, she was a killer.

Jordan, 49, twice-divorced and living in New York, brought her only child to the Peninsula Hotel on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue on Feb. 3. She paid cash for two nights in a $2,300-a-night suite. After posting a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, she double-locked it and jammed it with a chair.

Inside, prosecutors say she fed Jude a fatal overdose of various prescription drugs and took pills herself. Two days later, police alerted by a concerned relative burst in and found her semiconscious on the floor, “babbling incoherently,” with a faint pulse. Her son lay dead in his pajamas, face up on the bed.

Hundreds of prescription pills were strewn around the bedroom, police said.

In what was meant to be a suicide note, Jordan suggested she was driven by mercy: Jude was “in constant pain,” she wrote. “I hope Jude is in a better place.” A person familiar with the investigation who wasn’t authorized to release the note publicly spoke of it to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. Teacher kills herself after Ex puts naked photos of her on Facebook

A British teacher working in the Middle East was found dead after her ex-boyfriend posted naked pictures of her on Facebook, an inquest heard today.

Emma Jones, 24, who was working in an international school in Abu Dhabi, feared she could be jailed in the Muslim country over the photos.

The inquest heard she drank poisonous cleaning fluid as she was packing to leave to return to Britain.

Miss Jones’s mother Louise Rowlands told the hearing her daughter was distressed after Jamie Brayley posted the  pictures on the internet.

Mrs Rowlands, 41, said: ‘He put a memory stick in the computer and copied some indecent images of Emma.

‘He put them on her Facebook and she said she was accused of prostitution by a man working at the school.’

Man charged with using Drano to kill baby

A 33-year-old man from the city’s Logan section was arrested yesterday and charged with murder, accused of killing a 20-month-old toddler with Drano drain cleaner.

Aaron Pace, a longtime friend of the mother’s family, was babysitting the boy, Suliaman Orrell Kirkland, on Feb. 2 when he doused a rag with Drano and rubbed it into the child’s skin, police said.

“Why did he do it? Because the child, in the defendant’s view, was uncooperative and crying, doing what 20-month-old children do,” Homicide Lt. Philip Riehl said.

The child’s great-grandmother, Connie Kirkland, 74, called the boy “a jewel.”

“To see that he went through all this agony, I can’t understand,” she said.

Neffateria Kirkland, 24, the child’s aunt, said that Pace had told her family the boy mysteriously got hurt when he was giving him a bath.

Family members said they learned only yesterday from police about the alleged circumstances that led to the murder charge.

Several of Pace’s relatives were in the house, in the 4500 block of North 18th Street, but did not witness the alleged killing, Riehl said. Both families live on the same block.

When they discovered the injured boy, one of them called the child’s mother, who then called for medical help, Riehl said.

Rescue workers and police arrived at the house and found the boy suffering from severe chemical burns to his arms, Riehl said.

The child was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in critical condition. He died Sunday.

His mother, Quintesha Kirkland, 27, had started a new job the day before, Neffateria Kirkland said. Since then, she had been in the hospital at her baby’s bedside.

Pace, who was being held last night at Police Headquarters, often referred to himself as the boy’s godfather, Riehl said.

Connie Kirkland said her family had known Pace since he was a child.

“He was a gentleman,” she said

John Caudle, 14, Killed His Parents Because He Didn’t Like Doing Chores

John Caudle is just 14-years-old, a wee boy who looks like the ubiquitous kid next door. And like any kid, he didn’t like doing his chores. But this little boy decided to take his rebellion to the Old Testament stage…

As he would later confess, he was arguing with his mother, Joanne Rinebarger, over not wanting to take out the trash or clean his room. But instead of sucking it up, he retrieved his stepdad’s .22 pistols and shot her in a bedroom of their Monte Vista, Colorado home.

He then hid in a laundry room waiting for stepfather Tracy Rinebarger to come home. The 14-year-old ambushed him as Tracy walked past his hiding place, shooting and killing him as well. With his parents’ dead bodies nearby, Caudle spent the rest of the day watching movies and playing.

He drove stepdad’s truck to school the next morning. Teachers and friends reported him being as happy as he ever was. When classes ended, he set out for his uncle’s house, where he figured he’d live. But he was pulled over by police in Fairplay, Colorado, some three hours away.

The kid didn’t have a driver’s license, but the arresting officer couldn’t reach his parents. So he asked Rio Grande County deputies to find them. They already had. Caudle’s grandfather had discovered the bodies. Police were already at the scene.

Prosecutors are currently wrestling with whether to charge the kid as an adult. A double-homicide would indeed seem worthy of serious time, but if you take a gander at the kid’s photo, this isn’t a boy who’ll survive an adult prison — perhaps not even juvenile jail.

A judge should decide to today if he’ll remain in lockup as he awaits trial.

After killing his wife, Dennis Allaben drove from the couple’s home in Tucker to Virginia and told his relatives there on Monday about the murder, acting DeKalb County Police Chief William O’Brien said. Allaben then fled his relatives’ home, returned to the Atlanta area and early Tuesday morning walked into Clayton County Police Headquarters.

“He just showed up at [Clayton County] police headquarters and said he’d killed his wife,” O’Brien said.

Police then recovered 43-year-old Maureen Allaben’s body, which had been wrapped up, from her husband’s blue Ford pickup. Dennis Allaben, 46, who tested underground storage tanks, is now in custody at the DeKalb jail and charged with murder.

O’Brien said he did not know why Allaben killed his wife. DeKalb detectives, after searching the couple’s three-story brick home in Tucker, found no evidence of foul play. O’Brien also did not disclose how Maureen Allaben was killed.

A DeKalb police report said that on Monday, Dennis Allaben drove to his relatives’ home in Chesterfield, Va., and dropped off his two children. The report did not say if the children knew their slain mother was in the back of the pickup.

Allaben told his relatives that he had killed his wife and was leaving the children with them, the report said. A woman who answered the phone Wednesday at the Allaben home in Chesterfield said the family had no comment.

On Wednesday afternoon, two of Maureen Allaben’s friends and their children showed up at the Allabens’ Tucker home and laid flowers on the doorstep.

“It’s shocking,” said Jennifer Boyanton, whose children went to school with the Allabens’ young boy and girl. “They were a wonderful family. … She could light up a room.”

Tara Gilmore, also a family friend, said her thoughts are with the Allabens’ children. “I just hope they’re safe,” she said. “It’s a terrible loss.”

Maureen Allaben was a food stylist who arranged and shot photos of food through a company called Creative Avenues. Among her clients were Atlanta Bread Company, Home Depot, Olive Garden and Turner Broadcasting. She was working as a decorator for the Mo’Nique comedy show on BET.

Close friend Tami Hardeman, who talked on the phone with Allaben late Sunday afternoon, said she gave no indication that anything was wrong.

“It’s so sad,” Hardeman said. “She was at the height of her career, the top of her game.”

Allaben was “an extremely hard worker who was vivacious and full of life,” said Shirlene Brooks of Crews Inc., Allaben’s agent. “She was very giving of her time and her knowledge of the industry.”

Brooks said the Allabens just got a new dog from the pound. “It makes no sense,” she said.
